Iv recently started going out with a boy that i love lots and he loves me loads but his just trying so hard that i get pissed off with him and it dont help that everytime i confront him he turns the arguement around and confronts me with; you dont love me, im sorry, i love you or why. Its just so annoying after a while and he follows me round like a little lost puppy. I just want him to be the one wearing the trousers to make me want him and follow him but how do i say this without saying it, because then its like im trying to change him and im not i just want him to chill out and be laid back. help me please, we are going on holiday in less than 2 weeks

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 November 2005):

You've clearly been too controlling. My advice to you is stop being overprotective of his wardrobe - stop stealing his trousers and shorts for yourself and take back your skirts. You need to learn that just because your boyfriend's arse looks better in that nice expensive skirt you bought last week, it's no need to become jealous.

Either that or he's bent.
