writes:hi i am going to be having a photo shoot tomorrow and the pictures will be submitted to this beauty pageant i have been dying to go to.well here's the storylast time i was unprepared i din't have any photoshoot pictures so i took my phone and i submitted pictures of me that was clicked by me lol as in standing in front of the mirror or usuing my caamera in my mac bookif u know what i mean,and i got selected and they called me but my mom dint let me go and i was devasted that whole yearand this year i have decided to give my best,i will be submitting pictures that have been clicked by a photographer and not self clicked but y am i not that confident this time when i am all prepared?i say what if i dont get selected?i mean i am giving up my exams to participate in this pageant only becuse it is during my exam time and i had to make a choice!do u beleive in destiny?i think i am destined for this?

reader, anonymous, writes (13 November 2009): I think that since you have arranged to go, and given up your exam time to go - just go. Hopefully, you will realise there if it is for you or not. Also, why not get a proper portfolio done over the next few months, and send off you photos to modelling agencies? you can do this whilst you are stil at school/ college or whatever.
