When a guy tells you "for now having fun" that means he will be pursuing and seeing other girls. He had a great time with you, he thinks you're beautiful, so this is not personal and does not mean he likes you less. It's unrealistic for a guy this age with raging hormones, in highschool, to wait and put his life on hold for some girl he can only talk to online or on the phone. Same for you! Keep in contact with him, have fun, but please don't think this can be a serious relationship right now. He likes you, he wants to have fun with you, but he's not going to give up girls he can see, touch, and feel "in person", locally, for an online, out of state deal. There is no way you can date this guy anyway, right? Maybe if you keep in touch, in a couple of years, if you go to the same college or something, things may be different. Have fun with it and enjoy but don't expect anything, okay?
