writes:I am 22 years old and i don't understand why through out the day my testicles hang low and a few minutes later they are bunched together close to my penis. i know that it is partly caused if my testicles are warm or cold. but there are times to were i play sports and i am really warm but they bunch up together. my penis also gets smaller as i am really warm or really cold. But if i am comfortable it is bigger. What Causes this to happen? why do my testicles bunch together and my penis shrink when i get really warm or really cold? Is this normal?

reader, anonymous, writes (23 February 2009): Its actually a natural protective response, when playing sports or frightened the body retracts our vital organs to protect them.
It's normal and actually very useful, as pvtguy alluded to can you imagine if the body didn't do that, we guys would be collapsed in a fetal position from the pain of our testis bouncing off our thighs evrytime we tried to run, ouch hehe.
