We already know my brother has been fired. Why is he keeping it a secret?

Hi,Pls HELP.Any advises are greatly appreciated.

My brother who's married,was fired frm work. He never tell anyone. but his wife secretly tell me but not to break news as she afraid in trouble later. Reality is he hide the truth and lied whenever ask how his job is doing,he simply say it's ok.

He avoid gathering by go home late.His wife complains now.He's a doted son of My mother(Dad has passed away 5 months ago).

Why can he tell frankly? we won't blame and look him down, instead we'll support him to be strong.How to help him? What to do?

just an info,His wife is a teacher.i understand she's sad. I did offer financial(money) but he still refuses.Hope he can find new job soon

VSAddict agony auntI wouldn't talk to him about this. It happened to him and it's only his business and his wife's. If he chooses to tell you, then great. But don't force it out of him or expect him to tell you everything just because you're his family. He's allowed some privacy of his own.
