Thought I could have a no-strings-attached relationship, but now I'm getting involved

hi,

I have started seeing this guy whom I like very much. It seems to be more of a physical relationship rather than anything else.

I enjoy his company and I am growing to like him even more every time I see him, yet I think he doesn't want a proper relationship.

I'm getting too involved and attached; what shall I do ? It's left me upset, thinking 'am I doing the right thing?'

I thought I could handle just seeing him weekly - 2 weekly as we both have demanding jobs - and just having sex, but I'm getting emotionally involved now.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (18 December 2005):

It's really inevitable. Sex and emotions are supposed to go together.

You've got to try to talk to him about this. Maybe drop hints or ask him if he wants to go out to eat and he could realise that he'd quite like to date you.

If he doesn't reciprocate- DROP the whole thing immediately. It'll cause more and more damage as it goes on.
