Should I wait for him to contact me or should I pursue him?

Hi there - I recently met a very cute guy who's new in town through an ad I put to rent out my appartment. He didn't end up renting my appartment but he did send me an email a few weeks later saying that he'd like to take me for a drink when back from a brief trip abroad. I know he's been back now for a week but I haven't heard from him.

What's the best way to progress things? I know it's 2008 but I know from experience that it's still the case that a lot of guys lose interest if the girl pursues too much early on and if a guy is really interested he'll take initiative. At the same time I want to see him. Should I wait for him to contact me? Or should I suggest getting together maybe for a group thing like a party so that it's not like a date? Any advice would be great!!

I agree with you, it's very hard to knwo whether or not to contact a man first.. I would probably just email him and ask how his trip went and how he's doing. that way your getting in contact with him, but not throwing yourself at him either
