I got him a promise ring almost a year ago and today he gave me one. I kinda knew it was coming, he asked my opinion in september and I was IN LOVE with the ring style he chose in september. The problem was that he got me a unisex ring, with a celtic design that I dont really like and its so thick that it goes half way to my knuckle. ( I have tiny hands) so now to the question. I know whether or not I should dont tell him that the ring hurts me when I wear it and ask him if we can go for something a little more feminine. I mean I cried a little I was so disappointed because this ring is a big deal to me because we are so far away right now. I just dont want to hurt his feelings. I know he did his best but I guess guys, if you were in this situation would you want your girlfriend to tell you?

 I would want to be told, Im sure he was happy with the design but I bet he cares alot more about your hapiness than his own. Sure he may be slightly upset and disapointed in himself to start with but in the long run it will make you both happier. I say tell him soon, the longer you wait, the harder it gets :) good luck
