Should I just break this off before I get a broken heart?

Ok well Ive been dating this girl for about a month now, we get along really well:) She is great and I do have strong feelings for her. I have mentioned a relationship a few times and she told me that she didnt want to rush things, so I said that is fine. When we hang out we hold hands, we kiss, we have a good chemistry together. I asked her to day what was going on in her head and what she was thinking, I just wanted to know what she thought of me, and where she saw this going. She said again she wasnt ready for the serious part until we get to know each other better first, she was just having fun getting to know me. She also said that she likes me just the way i am but that I might be to intense for her. Should I just break this off before I get a broken heart? What am I supposed to do here?
