Not sure if he'll say yes or no...so should I still ask him out?

Yeah, I'd give it a go. If you're nervous, though, maybe you could just try chatting to him a bit more first,

flirt a bit and see how he reacts to you. If you feel comfortable, ask him out then. If you still don't, maybe you could work up to it by doing something together casually as friends to begin with- something fun you're both interested in. Don't know if this will be any help, but all the best with it!
