My pet peeves don't bother me when it's coming from him. Is that normal?

Question - (13 October 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 13 October 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost a year now, and things are fantastic.

We're very close, and open with each other.

Recently, it came to my attention though, that nothing he does ever really bugs me. You know, the pet peeves?

I do believe there is some things that he does, that would bug me if other people did them, but with him.... It just doesn't bother me!

In past relationships, the pet peeves would drive me NUTS, but in the relationship with my guy now, I seem to really accept him- flaws and all!

is it normal to be so accepting of someone?

This is a very good thing, to be accpeting. Just dont go finding something wrong with him in order to get that familiar feeling of having a pet peeve. Often people will do that because they are familiar with it so they can subconsciously find the itty bities thing wrong with their mate when in reality they know its a not a big deal. Good luck :)

Of course it's normal! Otherwise no one would stay in relationships. That sounds wonderful, you've found someone who you love flaws and all! It's a good thing, don't be concerned.
