I understand from a family situation that even if you did marry him, he wouldn't have an automatic right to stay in this country anyway - there would still be an 'investigation' into his situation.

Toria agony auntBefore you do anything you need to make sure he can't get a new visa himself and make sure that you really want to do this because at the moment it might seem a good idea but if it goes wrong and you meet someone else and in a few years decide to get married how are you going to feel that the marriage that means so much to you isn't your first and the one before that was for the wrong reasons?

You also need to be 100% sure he isn't using you to stay in the country.

This is something only you can decide for yourself but you need to be doing it for the right reasons.

Good luck :o)

I wish i did this 4 my ex as he is from south africa i really loved him and he loved me, and he cant come back to the uk as he is now black listed. But only do this if you are both sure and if he really loves you because im not saying he is using you to stay in the country as my boyfreind wasnt using me but be careful. im sure that this is genuine though as i was in a similar situation its sad if he goes.

Two questions: Why does he not apply to get his visa renewed?

Second: Would you marry him right away if he did not have visa problems?

I think you should not take the drastic step of marriage, but urge him to get it renewed......if he can't, and has to go home, so be it. You've only known him a short time.
