I am the kind of guy who would tell you to get in her face and harass her into straightening up, but the end result for me is that I help people who are then no longer friends to me.
Tell her parents? Have them tell her the school let them know? I'm not sure exactly how that kind of thing is handled in your culture, but here the kid skipping would get a parental beat-down for it.
