writes:Hi there guysI just got back off an amazing holiday where i met this american girl that i now cant get over.Basically at first we sort of talked a bit and i thought she was really pretty and found out she was easy and fun to talk to. We were in a flotilla of boats so we spent every night together and although she seemed keen on me at first she got into one of the other guys. This guy is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet, but him and this girl got on really well. On the last night the other guys brother who is also a great guy told me she was into me at first but i followed her around too much. Then we were sat in a bar and her and this other guy went back to the boats to take her brother home, then came back but took around an hour, but no-ones sure if anything happened. We stumbled upon a festival then, and i bought the girl a drink when she couldn't find her tokens we needed to pay. Then when we got back she hugged the other guy and just said goodnight to me but still friendly. She'd exchanged phone numbers with the other guy earlier then gave hers to everybody later and i got it. We left the next morning and she hugged the other guy and i just went for a high-5 as when i left she was eating so hard to hug! So i fell asleep thinking id blown it but still had a great night so was not too bothered. Next morning my uncle told me that her parents had both said independently she likes me but parents aren't a great source. Anyway i haven't stopped thinking about her. We could be meeting in London in the next few weeks but it would be a one-off thing, and then she goes back to California and i stay in Manchester. I want to kiss her but would feel bad kissing then leaving. This other guy will be around as will a few others on the holiday so it will be hard to make a move. I don't even know if she likes me? I'm not sure what I'm asking for here really, advice on how to get over her, what to do when we're in London and whether to keep this dream alive for later years or not. I do really like this girl, I don't know if it's love but i could imagine a long term relationship with her, she's just beautiful and funny and easy to talk to and generous and thankful and amazing. Any advice is massively appreciated here, so make of this shambles what you can :)Thanks in advanceP.S. Her mum is really crazy and strange and a little bit scary because of it but obviously i could ignore that in a relationship!

my opinion on this is that you should at least try when you see her again but if that dude is around her a lot then that might be your competition. long distance relationships arent that great and tend to fizz out after about a month. but hey you might meet a pretty girl in Manchester. :)
