I'm only 16 and i met this boy around 3 months ago.

I'd just started hanging around with these people and one day at this barbecue an extra person was there. He wasn't great in attraction but after he spoke to me for over 5 hours, both us and everyone else knew that we liked each other. The next day we met up again. He asked me out and i said yes. He'd told me before that he was only visiting the country and was returning to spain the next day. I was so bummed but i knew he was worth it. We kissed and stuff and until now we're still together with a long distance relationship and he's coming in October. I don't think we'll last even though he wants to stay with me and is going to uni in england in three years.. Is it really as hopeless as it seems?
