For all of you curious out there about the topic of intuition listen up!

All humans were given this gift as a birthright, not just a womans gift, although some women woukd kill me for lettin out the secret to the men. There is a gland in our brains named "the pineal gland" research it, it will be the beginnng of understanding the gift of intuition a powerful gift to learn use on a daily basis. Like any muscle, the pineal gland needs to be exercised to grow. Example you think of an old friend boom! 3days later their they are, you ran into them at the mall! You knew that was weird, no that my friends was a small experience with intuition. If you are open minded seriously seek out more of this information knowledge is power will become more apparent to you as time in your life elapses and you use your intuitive gifts! E.S.P will follow exciting!

A reader, anonymous, writes (9 June 2010):

Well, I researched the pineal gland... it gained a reputation as a "mystery" part of the brain because its purpose was not known back in the day, which led it to become associated with the occult. While it does have some unique qualities to it as far as blood flow and position goes, its purpose is known to excrete melatonin, (a derivative of seratonin).

I'm open minded, but I'm yet to see any proof of ESP and its ability to be improved with exercise in any way. Say if you wrote down the order you thought a whole deck of cards would come out and recorded the results, it'd still be no different after doing it every day for 10 years... Of course I'd love to be proven wrong! It sounds cool.

As for intuition... if we're talking about the brain.. it has a built in way of filtering information/stimuli from our senses. We see, feel, taste, smell and hear so many things every day that we can't possibly store this all in our brain. We'd overload our mind with crap!!

So the brain combats this by filtering out the stimuli that we deem as unimportant, mundane or irrelevant and chooses to store stimuli that we find different/noteworthy/relevant/interesting or otherwise important to us personally... So you might remember the name of that hot girl you just met, but zone out on the name of her uninteresting friend even though you met them both within seconds of each other.

The best way to describe intuition is say for example you buy a new car and begin driving it around.... Suddenly you notice that there are tonnes of people driving the very same car! Why is this?? Previously you hadn't noticed at all... Those cars had always been on the road with you and you'd undoubtedly seen them before, just not found them relevant enough to be noticed and remembered...

The fact is you started taking notice of the cars because it became relevant to you, as opposed to simply filtering out this useless, excess information. So if you think of your friend and three days later, poof, there they are, its because by thinking of them, suddenly they become relevant and are more likely to bypass this brain filter and actually be noticed more.

If you think about something more, you remember it more, you notice it more and then attach whatever meaning you want to it... Intuition, psychic ability, trends of chance, coincidence or science. However, what about all those people you thought of during those 3 days who you DIDN'T run into at the mall?... Well you could be disappointed that your intuition was off... or you could put more stock in the one coincidence that you just happened to notice.

That's my take anyways... maybe psychic reasoning and scientific reasoning are one and the same thing. Science being a way of viewing the world by thinking and EMP being a way of viewing the world by feeling. Same thing, different road perhaps?

Meh, just an interesting thought/rant... makes sense to me, unfortunately its harder to articulate than I thought before I started writing... :P
