Don't be touchy around their daughter. Talk to them (don't clam up!).
dress reasonably nice... avoid the grunge look, ripped cloths, a T-shirt with a giant dope leaf...
Avoid slang and cussing... don't smell like anything other than clean and fresh.
Don't try to start a conversation on a topic you know virtually nothing about...
