writes:my boyfriend and i have been together for several months now. He is my first boyfriend and i am his. So we've never really done anything outside of what we've done together. A couple of days ago he fingered me and it still hurts, i use tampons so i don't think he broke my hymen, but i have been bleeding and it hurts. What is happening, and how can i avoid it next time?

 He may have cut you accidentily with his fingernails if he did it too hard. Because you're both new to this, next time suggest he doesn't do it quite so rough (unless you want him too ;)) and/or get him to cut his fingernails so they're not quite as long :)
