So I need a fresh look in hair style really. I have medium lengt hair no layers and kind of side bangs. I cant have it cut too short or too layered because i must be able to do two braids for work.

Websites i could look at and describtions and pictures are welcome.

M_M4ever agony auntWell that is very interesting thanks :) will definatly try the curling but could explain the Chi thing :D.

I currently wear my bangs to the side they arent very long at all but jut make it to the side. My hair is about two inches past the top of the shoulder if that helps clarify length.

I have an olive skin tone.

If you would like layers to add a little bit of volume and wave and life to your hair, you can get LONG layers and still be able to braid your hair with no problem. Even if you did opt for shorter layers you could still braid your hair. Maybe get layered bangs.

I don't know how long medium hair is but I assume it is past your shoulders??

Well if you don't really want to cut your hair then why don't you try styling it differently.

Why don't you try curling your hair with a chi. Have you ever tried that?? It looks great. You style your hair with a chi doing a twisting curling motion with each strand of hair which would work more effectively if you have some layers. It looks really beachy. And if you want to make the hairstyle more farrah fawcettt flowy then you brush out the strands after curling it. The chi is a really good option. And you can also wear it straight with the chi. Another thing I like are hot curlers. Cause they make beautiful big waves in my hair. If you buy the real big curlers the waves are big.

You could also try a new hair color. I don't know your skin complexion but a new color that matches is a great way to change your appearance. If you don't want to permanently dye your hair you can get a glaze at the salon. It is a temporary dye that is put in your hair and it will make your hair really shiny.

Oh and since you have bangs, that is a good starting point for changing your hairstyle. Since you wear them to the side, maybe you could try some funner edgier style with your bangs. Perhaps get them layered so that when you pick your hair up the bangs fall over your face and around the sides. Or get them trimmed and wear them to the front of your face. But if you wear them to the front get them trimmed textured NOT straight.

If you would like more specific suggestions let me know.
