If you split the future could be tricky. This other lad sounds cute so why don't you ask him out. Maybe go to the cinema and then Frankie and Benny or Macdonalds and have a chat. Nothing too heavy, just test the water and see what he is like. He might open his mouth and you could hate him. Nothing ventured nothing gains. Go for it girl!
