writes: Here goes...We are both in our thirties. Have been dating a guy for 2 months. He has so much going on that I suggested that we take a break until I see him for Thanksgiving at his parents. He simply avoided my suggestion, called me one more time and now it's been 3 days w/ no call. Not sure if he took me up on offer or am I being dumped. Thought I was giving him the space he needed, but it seems I'm being punished. He leaves for a trip day after Thanksgiving, only to come back and leave on another a week later. Any help on this?

reader, anonymous, writes (25 November 2005): Call him up. Just because you are dating him daily does not mean you can't talk on the phone, or by email. If you are being dumped, he will let you know. Sorry the relationship seems to be so rocky, and I wish you the best.
