I'm very self consciene about my body and i felt very embarrassed by it. Also i went to doctors cause you really scared me saying it could be a cyst, it really was just a spot. and i got given a cream and its already gone. Thanks for the advice even if half of it was totally uncalled for and bitchy.xx

 Why are you worried about your husband seeing it? I'm assuming you've been faithful, so there's nothing to worry about.
It does sound like a cyst, and though they can be painful, they're not contagious. (Here's a site about them, with a couple of icky pictures. Ignore the pictures. http://www.utopiasilver.com/testimonials/cyst.htm )
If you think you might possibly have something contagious (meaning if you've been with someone else), then then you should go see an OB/GYN about this immediately.

reader, anonymous, writes (24 August 2007): It sounds like a sebaceous cyst, I had one which was about the size of a marble..whatever you do DONT try popping it..It is nothing to worry about, you havnt 'caught' anything, it is more likely to be a blocked follicle which has caused it, if it gets bigger or hurts, go see your GP.
