thank you every one for the much needed help and support :D . first of all we have alarm , and i have asked my mum if it works , she says yes. but is right next to the front door whitch has a large pane of glass in the that is practically transparent. with no curtain etc. covering it . and dont think a weapon is the way to go since if i attacked someone who has broken i get prosecuted and they get off scott free! but thanks for all the suggestions. also the does have lock. to be continued.

StarryEyes101 agony auntHey.

I think everyone is the same as you. I definitely am. If I hear a noise, I lay rigid in bed. What are you afraid of exactly a break in? Has there ever been a break in in your neighbourhood? 'Cause if there hasn't then there's less likely to be one. But everyone panics about this.

Keep a light on somewhere in the house, like a lamp or something. All houses have funny noises. Old and New. If it makes you feel better. Take something to bed with you. I have a baseball bat near my bed =)

I hope this helps

Triskaedeka102 agony auntHi there,

You said that you have a very weak front door? Does it have no lock? Broken (I doubt it since you told me your family's wealthy). I suggest to first, fix the door. Get some locks if it helps you. Does your family have a personal security on guard? Or other security system?

If you don't, you may want to put one up. From your story, it seems that your anxiety attack comes from the feeling of not being safe. Of course when you're alone you feel this, I do too. And I think it's actually good to check every door before you go to bed.

Lock your bedroom before you sleep, and when you freak out hearing noises, just say some mantra such as "it's okay, I've locked all the doors and windows, it's probably just mom coming home" Or something between that line. Get a baseball bat next to you, or some kind of defense tool to ease you even more. You are a light sleeper I assumed and perhaps you would want to sleep using a medium earplugs.

I hope it helps.

Look into getting therapy for your anxiety or you may have obsessive compulsive disorder. you're really young, some kids are afraid of the dark. As you get older you will lose these fears.

If your house is that big, why dont you tell your wealthy family to invest in an alarm? That will help eliminate your fears.

Good luck
