A female United Kingdom, anonymous writes:

I've liked this guy for 3 years and he's apparently liked me for that long too.... We snogged 2 months ago and he was really sweet asked for my number and asked me out etc. but then he disappeared. I found out a few weeks ago the reason why he hadn't been in touch is because he got back with his ex so we decided to be friends.

That didn't go to plan as we obviously still like each other. His girlfriend lives a couple of hours away and travels around the world a lot. He says to me that he would like a girlfriend who is around. He told me right from the beginning that it wasn't a a question of chosing between me or his girlfriend because he loves her but as I said our friendship has been different from a normal friendship and we snogged again last week but yesterday I said told him we couldn't continue being friends.

I feel like crap today but I don't see what I could have done.

Have I done the right thing by not being friends with him anymore?

You have deffinately done the right thing by cutting this guy off. If he wants a girlfriend that doesn't travel, why is he dating a girl that travels? AaaH! that is the question and I will answer it, because he plans on being with her. he want his cake and eat it too. typical dog. however you did the right thing, if he hasn't called you by now he obviously does not miss you and he's more than likely moved on to the next local girl that does not travel and fed her the same line he has fed you. It's just a shame his girlfriend probly thinks he is as faithfull as can be, I bet he doesn't even feel a ounce of guilt or shame.
