Question - (7 April 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 7 April 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 16-17, anonymous writes:

How can you tell whether someone is looking at you or just looking that way and you happen to be in the direction they are looking ? If that makes sense. Like people say its eye contact but i can't seem to tell if they're just looking my way or looking at me and in my eyes! i just can't tell, because i can't tell when they're making eye contact with me and when they aren't. So how do you know? Because this is the situation with me and a lad i like but i don't know if he's looking at me or not becasue i sit opposite him (in class) so i can't tell as i'm in his direction of vision and like if i'm standing opposite him and stuff. So how can you tell?

A female reader, Annalisa United Kingdom + , writes (7 April 2008):

Annalisa agony auntWell, when you think he's looking at you, look into his eyes. He will notice this and either blush (if he is looking at you) or his eyes will move slightly and focus on you. At this point, smile at him!

This will let him know you're happy for him to look.

He might look down as if changing thought or he might smile back. See how it goes and take it from there!
