A female reader, kaylaaarg Australia +, writes (19 July 2007):

Not sure with diet (currently eating a cookie and drinking Coke), but perhaps try indoor swimming?

Also, don't be afraid of working out if it means pimples - perhaps try a better skincare routine. Sweat is cleaning out your pores, its a good thing. In the long run, you will appear much more healthy.

DJ8433 agony auntI personally found the Atkins diet to work wonderfully to kick start my metabolism. Very generally speaking, weight management and weight loss is primarily accomplished with nutrition, but if you want to be healthy, it will require some form of exercise. Even if it's just walking 30 minutes a day.
