Okay Guys and Gals, bit of advice please. A girl i like has just come out of a relationship, and i want to make my move. The past god knows how many times, I've tried to give her time, but everytime, some other guy jumps in. I've told her i want to speak to her, and while she knows i like her, i want to know how she feels about me. I was thinking of telling her that i love her etc and ending with "the question is, do you feel the same?". What do you think? It may be worth noting that her bf is bitter and blames me for the breakup (longstory but it wasnt my fault) and that me and the girl have been good mates for around 10 years, so the friend zone could be an issue.

Thanks in advance guys :D

Best bet from someone who has gone through this and has seen it happen many many times, just go plain and simple: "Hey, you wanna go out sometime." She knows you like her, don't tell her you love her and ask her to tell you the same, because it won't work. But asking for one date... well, then you can prove yourself. Good luck.
