Well, i have a funny story about that....

My girlfriend dropped this bomb on me one day: "I took a home pregnancy test, and guess what? I'm pregnant!"

I freaked out, and immediately got her into the car and to the doctors to get this confirmed, and guess what? The doctors ran the test, and it came back negative!

My girlfriend then said "that can't be, i just took a home pregnancy test, and it came up positive.." to which the doctor responded "oh.. well in that case there's a good chance you're pregnant." And she was.

The doctor we spoke to claimed that those home pregnancy tests are pretty darned accurate.

The doctors explained to us that sometimes the chemical indicators that you're pregnant that manifest in your urine are stronger in the morning then they are later on in the day, so they suggested taking the test first thing in the morning when you wake up and see what it says. It will give you a more accurate reading.

Either that or just try going to see your doctor.

They can be inaccurate. But if you're two months late already, then you should be having some clear pregnancy symptoms if you are pregnant: nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness (you can look up more of this online) and by now you might have also put on a bit of weight, so weighing yourself could help.

You should check in with your body, though. A lot of things can effect your period's regularity. Have you recently changed your diet or your birth control methods drastically? Have you been experiencing stress? Have you been getting enough sleep? All of these can factor in to your period timing.

Also, have you had unprotected sex? Because if so, you have more to worry about. Even with protection, sometimes things go wrong. But you're always better off with it than without, obviously. But if you were protected and you're usually relatively irregular/you have changed something in your life recently, you're probably not pregnant.

But anythings possible. The doctor can let you know.
