How and where and when will I know if they are attracted to women too?

I am a 40 year old female and ever since i was 17 i have sexual fantasies about other women, i get far more turned on thinking of womens bodies than i ever do thinking of mens, even though i have only ever had relationships with men, i have just become single again after my latest bf left me and i'd love to finally try to meet a girl, but how and where and when will i know if they are attracted to women too, i am scared i will end up looking like a fool but i ache to try this even if its only an experiment, im sure it wont be as the longing to hold another woman and kiss her is overwhelming ..... help!!!
