A female reader, Rhian2020 United Kingdom +, writes (4 May 2008):

Hello,

I think that this guy is having difficulties in coming to terms with the fact that you cheated on him. He doesn't know what to do. Have you both had a talk about why felt the need to go with someone else? Have you reassured him that it won't happen again? Maybe this guy is having doubts as to whether he wants to be with you, that's why he's saying that he wants you home but won't actually let you come home. He's not sure whether he can trust you again. Before you move back in together I think that you both need to sit down and have a serious chat about your future. Ask him to tell you what he's feeling and thinking. Be honest with each other. After you've had a talk you can decide whether you have a future together or not.

Good luck.xx.
