 Depends. It sounds like you and he did not deliberately conceive.
If you decide together to have a baby, most guys will stick around, and the ones that don't are rightly considered scumbags.
If, on the other hand, it just happened by accident (or "accident," in many cases), he is well within his rights to run off, and many guys will do just that. Still, a fairly substantial minority of guys will stick around upon learning they have a kid on the way.
In a longer relationship, guys will tend to err more on the side of staying, but there's still lots who will run.
So, no, not all men are like that, but depending on the circumstances, it may be more or less who are.
