Sageoldguy1465 agony auntWithout wading in to a discussion of any/all the details... consider this lesson in "guy speak".....

When a guy finds a woman attractive and wishes to get her attention, AND test her intentions, he will use those words that will get and keep her attention.....

If/as conversation continues he will adjust his vocabulary to be more and more explicit, AND more endearing (if she seems to be indicating more than passing interest).

If/as that "couple" becomes closer, and more conversation ensues, they will BOTH wrangle around the topic of how much they want to reveal to one-another just how close - and how intimate - they wish to become....

Your question could also be asked of women, by the way...

Hot and sexy usually means you have a nice body - as Cerberus said, it's usually 'I want sex'

Beautiful and gorgeous means (to me) that from top to bottom you're very attractive

Pretty - attractive face/hair

Cute - you look good but not wanting sex

This is how I use them, not sure about other guys though

jr23 agony auntWhen I hear guys use the words "hot" and "sexy" to describe a girl, they are usually also talking about parts of the girl, like tits and ass. This is just something I've noticed. I assume all they are thinking about is what she would look like naked, and having sex with her. They don't want a relationship with her. I find the words "beautiful", "pretty", and "gorgeous" to be a lot more of a genuine compliment. But you still have to be careful, because some guys just trying to get sex will also use those words.

Hot and sexy means a guy wants to have sex with you as a priority. Cute, Beautiful, pretty, gorgeous usually means they think you're very attractive in general. Unfortunately for you guys who want sex only will use any and all of them. Those words actually mean more to women than us guys. But hot and sexy is definitely a guy who wants to have sex with you, there is no confusion there.

They are still pretty much interchangeable, but hot and sexy are used mainly at girls who have nice bodies while gorgeous , pretty, cute and beautiful are used to describe an overall demeanour, mainly the face and over all looks.

Don't get confused over what they mean, they are just stock words to express we think you are attractive. The more of words he uses, the more attractive he thinks you are ;).
