writes:I was approached by my friends commonlaw husband and he said he has had feelings for me for a long time..He told me exactly when he started feeling this way and I remember the day I didnt even looked or even talked to him but he said that the way I looked and how I am took his breath away and from that moment on I been on his mind..He asked if I felt the same and I told him that because I realize who he is and being my friends man and father of the kids that have been my childs best friends since they were very little I can not and will not cross the line in order to satisfy a desire. I asked him never to speak to me of the subject...I know their issues and I know they been on the rocks for a long time. I hope they can somehow keep working at it. I guess I have no question..I know my answer...

reader, anonymous, writes (21 December 2008): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionIt surprised me he had feelings for me , he knows how I am and maybe thats why he wanted to share his thoughts. Our kids have been involved in sports and our kids calls us mom regardless if we are the mom or not..we have been like family.As I thought of it today Im sure he will not ask again and I do not feel threaten by him or feel awkward at all. The yr I broke up with my husband two other friends of mine had gone though the pain of having their spouses cheat on them and we stuck together through out and helped each other through all..My husban was mentally disable and abusive so I havent experienced that myself..Seeing my girls suffer has taught me to remain loyal and supportive.. Being a great friend is rewarding..Thanks for all the responses.I did have the need to share but I cant share with my friends cause I do not want to hurt her in any way..
