I was just wondering is a blood test done to see if you have AIDS? If you ask your doctor to do a test for it, and you happen to have some other STD'd will it turn up in the test results or will you have to actually ask for them to test for them as well?

I'm not sure if I should have a test for AIDS or any other STD's. I got someone's blood on me yesterday and I wasnt wearing anything to protect my hands. I am scared they might have had AIDS or something. Do you think its worth it geting a test done for aids?

I've never had unprotected sex but i've heard you can still get some STD's even if you do use condoms. So do you think it's worth it geting a test just in case my ex bf (who i've recently realised I shoudln't have trusted anything he said) did have something?

Oh and also, how long do you have to wait to get a test done for aids after catching it?

It didnt occur to me at the time about geting aids or anything from her. I think she was high/on drugs at the time, as she dindt make any sense in what she was saying, shewas totaly out of it and drug users often get aids and stuff dont they??

Hi Hunny

If you are worried you should go to your sexual health clinic or doctor and ask to be tested for everything including aids, Usually when you get tested for aids they put a special sticker on the test tube so it is known...If you ask just to be tested for s.t.ds then you probably wont get the aids test so its best to ask, And ask your doctor all the questions you have asked here he/she will put your mind at rest, You say you got someones blood on you yesterday you dont say if they have a.i.ds, If it was an accident and you washed and you have no sores or cuts where the blood fell then there is little chance hunny if this person is clean, If you are panicing then go to your doctor its always best to pop your mind at rest...TAKE CARE WITH LOVE N HUGS MANDY XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
