A female United States age 30-35, *hortbabygirl07 writes:

Ive been friends with a guy for awhile now, he had a girlfriend of 7 months. (hes 22 im 20 and shes 18) we were just friends and stuff but developed feelings for each other and ended up fooling around before they broke up. (they did shortly after) We were just talking but we rushed into things with us when he wasnt over his ex gf. He told me that he was over her, but came clean about still talking to her. I was devastated but still want to be with him someday. he says that he still cares about me and wants to be with me when he is over her. But that he needs time to grow up and figure stuff out. What should i do? do i just be his friend until he is ready? if so, how do i be just his friend?

Forget it, you were exciting to him whem he was with his ex gf. Now he has broken up with her, he no longer finds you exciting. He doesn't want anything more to do with you. If he did, he would be with you now.
