reader, anonymous, writes (11 May 2006): Not necessarily. I do very similar things for those I care about - male and female. My friend 'Bert' thinks too much. He thinks that just because 'Sponge' and I get along really well, and go out of our way for each other, we are in love. No. If we are in love, it will be sister/brother love.
Then again, what's the chance of him doing all that and not have an interest in you? As Soletshearit asked, "Do you want him?"
