Even then I don't know how to ask for a decent haircut.Can anyone give any websites which show different types of haircut. I saw one with Ed norton (look on www.askmen.com/fashion/trends, I think it was Fight Club but not sure that was where the picture was taken from) and wanted one just like his or similar. why cant you just go get your hair done before you go out? then deal with the bad harday the day after? or shave it all off and paint your head pink- be diffrent

 If you have a lot of trouble with your hair accepting styling you can get a very short cut and style it right out of the shower when it's still wet, by combing it.
If your really worried you can go to a stylist and get your hair styled by a pro in a beauty salon the night of. Call before and make sure you get someone who is wonderful with guys hair.
