 unless he around your brothers 24/7, i dont see why you should see such a large problem in this.
although it is a bit strange...all i can suggest is that you talk about it to him when the right time comes, and see what the problem is
if its just shyness around his brothers (which are also his peers) then id suggest you just leave it (:
