reader, anonymous, writes (8 July 2006): No, I don't think you need to go to a psychiatrist and I don't think you're a nymphomaniac. You have been really vague about details about this but a lot of the time girls use sex as a means to receive emotional attention, do you feel quite lonely? or, looking further back in to your childhood maybe you didn't have a strong father figure, girls who do not have a stable father figure do tend to have a higher sex drive than girls who do have a stable father figure (I could cite this). These are the two things most counseling styles will pursue with you. Do either of these reasons apply to you?
