Beaty and fashion advice site?

DearCupidDearCupid, posted over a year ago

Hi guys would welcome your input on this. Would anyone be interested in a beaty and fashion advice site in a very (very) similar format to DearCupid? You could ask questions on fashions, skin problems, hang out in the forums, review products... etc. Thanks! Andrew

Thanks Sexybum. It would be great if there was some crossover but you're right it would also attract a totally new audience. Keep an eye out over the next two months or so!

You're quite good at this running a website thing, do you make any money out of it?

It's a labour of love, alas! Any money that comes goes straight back into hosting costs and promoting the site.

Good question, Shania. I think a positive attitude, laughing and smiling keeps one young. This reminds me of a quote I have heard..."You don't stop laughing because you grow old; You grow old because you stop laughing." I think the real key to a youthful exuberance is having fun-all the time and just not letting stress get the best of one's day. Oh...healthy eating and lots of sex, helps too. lol

acne?! wash tone AND moisturise your face every morning and night. you must moisterise as if you dont your body will replace the lost moisture you washed off my overloading with bad oils! choose a moisturiser that is oil free, and for people with greasy skin. steer cleer of bad foods and definatly alcohol, drink plenty of water and you should start to see an improovement , in my experience quick fixes dont really work , but if thats what your after id say go to the docter and get something on prescription as it tends to be stronger

quote: 'So,talking about beauty advice....wot is the secret to looking younger?' Well Sharon Stone was on one of the those late night shows last night and claimed her only exercise was sex...and she look bloody fantastic at 48!! Maybe we should all be doing more...

It helps when you have a nanny, money for botox, a personal trainer and a dietician/cook to make all your scrummy low carb food. Not that I am jealous or anything. ;-)

sexy bum , i agree, i am always mistaken for a 17 or 18 and iwould put this down to a young attitude, i have wrinkles, bags ,blotchiness, i cart around 2 kids on what can only be descibed as a sofa on wheels, but i have a young attitude , and to this day , at nearly 27 i still get id'd for cigs, alcohol. but care for yourself aswell, especailly the older you get , you might just find that the beauty regime you used at 14 might not work at 25 , adjust use accordingly

I hate to break the trend of copping a feel of the cop, lol, but I also saw someone posted a while back about how to get rid of acne? What worked for me in a short amount of time was Clearisil Ultra which actually does get rid of pimples in 3 days! I was shocked when it worked for me because I have really oily skin and I always have active pimples on my cheeks and chin..it is sooo annoying...however, the clearasil only works for a short amount of time and doesn't get rid of pimples long term. Right now, I'm actually on borth control to try to get rid of the pimples...and regulating my period is definetly a great perk too, but I just wanted to share..and also does anyone have any zit miracles that worked for them?

Hey Lzavmon03, what pill are you on... I was wondering if it is working for you? I am on my 3rd pill and they are just making my breakouts way worse, I also have really oily skin and the clearisil ultra worked in the past for me too, but now it dosent. I was thinking of trying this stuff called Carley's Clear and Smooth which can be bought off ebay... there are thousands of success stories on it.

Hi there, I'm on estrostep which I'm in my second month of taking it, but I don't see much difference yet..my gyno said it would take 3 months for any difference to emerge, until my body becomes accostumed to the hormones..so I'm crossing my fingers for the 3rd month, lol, I just ahve to be patient, but I'm also using that clearasil stuff..and Carly's I'll look into..thnaks for the tip :O)

I was really lucky in the dark ages when I was a teenager as I did not even get one spot, now I get really dry flakey skin but only when stressed and only on my forehead, oh the naughtynessss!! the peskyness and the horribleness!! I think my dry skin is due to my over indulgence of port (when alone and when i can afford it!!) and red red wine.
