Genetically Modified Woman or Organic Female? Which do we prefer?

There seems to be enormous pressure on women today to be something they are not. Like battery farm chickens they are force-fed a diet developed purely for commercial convenience rather than genuine quality. In the women's case the “farm” is the media and fashion industry, and the “feed” would be the endless stream of images portraying the mythical “Perfect Woman”.

The commercial images of women are the result of expert photography and professional make-up artists which are then finally air-brushed to “perfection” during the development process. It is no surprise that the end results are unattainable for most women.

But this doesn't prevent many women from comparing themselves to a type that is no more real than a Barbie doll. Trying too hard to match yourself against an artificial laboratory-generated image can have only one result-stress. Small wonder that we have so many cases of stress-related illness's such as anorexia and depression as well as a general lack of self-esteem amongst our female population today.

Women will always have a certain degree of self-consciousness, that is part of their genetic make-up. But that shouldn't distract them from the reality that men invariably love their women just as they are, in all their shapes and sizes stretch marks and all. It is better to have a wide diversity of choice that appeals to the males diversity of individual preferences, than have a bland one-size-fits-all artificial “type” that no one could really love in reality anyway.

So for women who get over-worried about their appearance perhpas it is worth remembering that most real men prefer their women to be “free range” rather than factory produced.

ps-You forgot the matching purple silk panty with the sparkling star hand-sewn sequins.

Even though you sewed them in yourself.

While I was wearing them! :/

WizardOfWaz agony auntMidlife crisis? What midlife crisis?

I agree with my fellow Scot Billy Connoly who calls it thus; "I've never had a midlife crisis basicly because I believe people don't miss their youth only an 'idea' of youth, in reality youth for most of us was crap."

Oh and a little tip from the same comedian / philosopher; "Never trust a man, who when left alone in a room with a tea cosy doesn't try it on..."

WizardOfWaz agony auntAsk oldersister-I would like to think that most guys prefer the organic girl not the genetically modified fashoin-addict. That's just a personal view from an average guy who is fully switched on by women who are proud to be just being themselves.

Guys sometimes lust after the porno barbies, but will always love the girl-next-door type no mnatter her stretch marks or the tits hanging down to her belly button.

That's the difference between reality and fantasy. Deep down most guys in love believe their own woman to be the most sexy and beautiful of all.

WizardOfWaz agony auntAnon-I think the guys who want the Barbie Doll deserve them? They are welcome to each other. Just as us Real Men will always attract the Real Women. Birds of a feather and all that jazz. :-)

Ask oldersister-Do you have some kind of problem with men in general?

It's great to hear a guy say these things and gives me hope for some guys out there.

But I also think that doesn't take away from the fact that there are many guys out there that still want the girl that looks like a Barbie doll.

WizardOfWaz agony auntDanielepew- Objection overruled.

The comment made about men not washing if it hadn't been for women, was deliberate tongue-in-cheek flippancy and I sincerely hope most folks here understood that.

The point was women should apreciate that self-conscious edge that they have over men while at the same time be aware that this makes them vulnerable to those who wish to exploit these natural instincts for commercial gain.
