I'm Andie and I'm surviving life until I can really start to live it :)

Karma does happen:

My dad was a married woman's other guy for only a few weeks (about a decade before my mum met him), then realised he wasn't okay with helping her betray her husband. His friend became her other guy, husband came home while they were at it, the guy jumped out of the window and the husband knew, so grabbed a bicycle, chased him and punched him once, going 20mph, so it knocked him out. A couple of relationships later, after getting £15,000 in debt to help a woman leave her abusive husband and getting in a relationship with her, my dad came back from a holiday with his parents and found her with another guy.

I would love to ask this waitress out. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Q.   I like a waitress in the town near to where I live. She has served me on several occasions, and said hi and spoken to me. I would love to ask her out, but my bottle always goes!! It was my birthday yesterday, and on the way out she said 'Ha...

A.   14 June 2016: How old is she? If she's about your age, go for it. Though, "Have a nice day. See you later" is what they get paid to say to everyone, so don't think anything of that.... (read in full...)

Should I accept this? My Boyfriend wants to sleep around and then come back to me.

Q.   This is my first post so I'll try not to make it too wordy. I've been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years. About 10 months ago, I broke up with him because I felt like I needed more sexual experience before we settled down. He was heartbroken and ...

A.   14 June 2016: You lost him when you broke up 10 months ago. It's not healthy to break up, sleep with others, then get back together. Quite frankly, once you find the person you want to spend there at of your life with, you won't feel the desire to get more ... (read in full...)

I worry my partner willnot accept my parents

Q.   Hello I hope you can help me with my problem. I live in Canada; divorced and have a 7-year-old daughter. My parents are permanent residents and they travel back and forth. They have been there for me to take care of my daughter while I was in school ...

A.   14 June 2016: OP, I'm more reassured by your latest post, but I really do think it's worth cancelling the fiancée visa and just having him get a prolonged holiday visa for visiting friends. I know it sucks to wait longer to be with him, as I'm in a long distance... (read in full...)

I feel very confused by her. First she flirts with me. Then she didn't invite me to her birthday celebration. What's happening here?

Q.   I am lusting after another female colleague. She is also bi-sexual. I've known her a year but only recently did we start getting to know each other better as she has moved into my office at work. We flirt a lot by teasing each other and play fig...

A.   14 June 2016: By the way. I also agree with the others that you've (both) gone *way* over what's acceptable at work. I know she initiated and encouraged it, but it was unprofessional and you shouldn't have let yourself get caught up in it. Flirting at work needs ... (read in full...)

I am going through hell with my 15 year old!

Q.   Not sure if this is the right place for this question I am currently going threw hell with my 15 year old daughter, she's my 4 th and youngest child. She's in with the wrong crowd and whilst not involved in drugs or drinks... She's involve...

A.   14 June 2016: Get therapy for yourself and see what they say about your situation. Read up on the laws of kicking your child out. It's drastic, but she'll learn. If she comes to your work and kicks off, leave for a moment and she'll probably follow you. If n... (read in full...)

A.   13 June 2016: Distance is good. Maybe say "I hope your birthday celebration is fantastic" and genuinely smile. I think this may just be a work "flirtationship", rather than something she wants to act on. If you want to continue flirting, without hope for a re... (read in full...)

A.   11 June 2016: OP, I know you care about your daughter, please don't move a stranger in. You love him, but your daughter needs to get to know him properly first. There's no need to rush this marriage, you need to focus more on your daughter and her comfort. Don't ... (read in full...)

A.   7 June 2016: I'm glad you feel like you've already started resolving the parents dilemma, OP, but please do wait longer before marrying him - you no doubt prioritise your daughter normally, but you need to give her more than two months before a stranger (to her) ... (read in full...)

A.   7 June 2016: You can't marry a man your daughter doesn't know - that's irresponsible. Don't get married so soon, please, for your daughter's sake. There are so many things here about how hard it will be for him and how he doesn't even want to live in Canada, it ... (read in full...)
