Has everyone abandoned the main site!?

SexybumSexybum, posted over a year ago

Hello everyone, justthought I would post this as I've just read an answer from Martini on the main site.... Read something like 'why do I feel as if all the agony aunts, cows, sheeps and kangeroos have abondoned the main site!' Maybe he has a point I have noticed that the questions people post are getting less responses!

Would I be right in stating that the regulars to DearCupid are now spending their time checking out these forums? Well lets see quick test... Are you reading this post, if you answer yes then you are guilty of abandoning the main site. If you answer no then well... erm.. then like you say you wouldn't even have read this so it don't matter!!

Hiya Sexy, I try and do a bit of bothand moderate too lol, all fitted in between working on my own site and writing on different subjects elsewhere. I think the forums are new so thats why they are getting alot of attention maybe...

Guilty as charged, Sexybum! lol I too have been moderating, plus answering posts for awhile now so reading the message board is a nice refreshing change, for me. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but sometimes I feel 'advice fatiqued' and need that break for a few days. I think it's okay to do that. Taking a break sort of recharges one's thinking and we usually get back in the saddle, so to speak.

Me too, GUILTY!! I try to balance my time between the forums and main site. The forums are the lighter side of this site and it gives us aunts and uncles a chance to have a giggle and get to know a bit about each other. I have also noticed problems being posted on the forums though, and am never sure whether to answer or not, don't they belong on the main site?

smeedle has been a naughty smeedle and has not been doing the agony aunt thing, the naughtyness!! My problem has been that when I was off work waiting to start a new job I had time on my hands, im finding my new job dead stressfull and im really tired plus my cat has been really ill, things at home have gone pear shaped and i have felt that if i was to answer peoples questions on main site, they may be tainted by my not so good mood or be charged with negativity and that would not be fair. So I have found it easier to log into just the forum to lift my mood and have a quick bit of mindless banter. I have had a lot of guilt about this and hopefully I will have some time this weekend to put things right, just hard sometimes to put the world to rights when your own world is crumbling.

Smeedle I find that, I tend not to give advice if I'm in a sour mood as it will probably be too judgemental and biased....... Bless ya, I'm looking for a new job so I won't be on here as much. Your job will be ok once you've settled in. Now is the time that business is picking up after the winter blues, wow, what a time to start a new job, take it you've got vet bills up your jacksee and all sorts, well here's a big hug sent over the net for you HHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGG XOXO
