 If you think it is weird it probably is. At least something similar may be uncomfortable to you
take your time. No rush
you could always take the direct approach and ask as well

 I think you should stick to facebook first and let things grow gradually if it develops. Most people only tend to add people they know well on msn. I think you should send her a message on facebook just asking how she is and maybe refer to when you met. Try not to come across too keen because that may freak her out. Good luck.
