LilPixie agony auntIt could be yes. The very first pill I was ever on made me feel extremely sick. Not everyone gets along with hormonal contraception so until you try you won't know if your body gets along with it or not.

With the pill a lot of people often have to try different brands before they find one that suits them, so even if you don't get along with one doesn't mean that another one won't work.

There's currently only one brand that does the patch so if you're thinking of going on it and it doesn't work for you, you won't be able to try a different brand for that.

LilPixie agony auntHey there. I was on the patch for a few months before i got pregnant (I wasn't actually using it when i got pregnant) and I am planning on going back on it in the future.

The patch works the same way as the pill except that you stick a plaster on rather than taking a pill. The plaster stays on for 1 week before replacing it with a new one, you do this for 3 weeks and then have 1 week break like you would with the pill. There are several places you can use the plaster such as on your arms, your bum and your tummy. I think there are a few others parts where you can use it too.

Personally I prefered having it on my tummy. The first time I used it I put it on my arms and everyone kept asking me if it's a nicotine patch and it will quickly develop a dark ring around the edges of the plaster so it's not really very nice to have on your arm... And when I used it on my bum I found that it didn't stay in one place.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions about it :)
