The more I fall for him the harder it is to cope with his exs

A female United Kingdom age 51-59, *nnaTom writes:

I have been with a lovely, kind, caring and gorgeous man for 18 mths now. I have children from a previous relationship who live with me, he has a daughter who does not live with him. Our relationship has deepened gradually and he tells me he loves me and wants to be with me. However, the more I fall for him the more I find it difficult to cope with the fact he had exs. He only ever mentions them in passing, when its relevant to one of our conversations, and he has done nothing wrong. I have the problem, I am so jealous of these women and what they shared with him and I cant bear the thought of it. I hate myself for feeling like this, and he doesnt know that I do. But I want to stop these feelings before they destroy me, and us.

Honey, it's natural to feel jealous and envious but he's ex's are his past.

You are his present and future and if he doesn't talk about his ex's frequently or just once in a blue moon. Then it shows that he is well and truly over them. It might take time for you to accept that he had ex's and that they shared their speacial moments but like I said that's all in the past.
