reader, anonymous, writes (3 January 2007): If this girl is a friend of yours, you could let her down easily, and have no bad feelings. Sure, it would change your relationship, but it wouldn't be something you couldn't work out.
But if you DON'T know her that well, that's a problem. Firstly, you must be sure she fancies you, and when you are, still let her down as lightly as possible, and probably compliment her on something so she won't feel bad.
