 I think she is being nice - sending you a kind wish. She may have sent the same message to everyone - it's hard to tell whether people are sending in bulk or not. I know I sent a "Merry Christmas" message to everyone in my phone.
Don't read too much into it. I doubt she is trying to re-kindle your love. I think she is being nice, and I think you did the right thing in sending her back a simple, sweet message.
