Is my girlfriend slipping away from me?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My girlfriend of three years recently wanted to go on a break but she decided not to. Now she is telling me to leave her alone and limit our contact she says she wants to marry me and that she loves me but I cant shake the feeling that iam loosing her is it just me or am i right?

You two need to have a good long talk and find out exactly what is going on here. If she just need a bit of space, yet still wants to marry you eventually, then fine, give her some space, but find out how much. Find out also why she if feeling this way. If things have got so bad and they cannot be fixed then walk away. She could be just saying she wants to marry you to keep things nice, but that doesnt work. But you need to get to bottom of things, she must want to distance you for a reason, so find out why.
