 Let him make up his mind which one of you he likes, are you sure he likes either of you.
Blokes are not worth falling out or loosing a good friend over so just wait and see but make it clear to your friend that there should be no bitterness between you when or if he does choose, make a pact to stay friends no matter who he chooses.
